Last coronavirus patient discharged from hospital in Vĩnh Phúc Province
HÀ NỘI — The last of Việt Nam’s 一 六 coronavirus patients was discharged from the Quang Hà General Medical Clinic in Vĩnh Phúc Province on Wednesday morning.
The patient, named N. V. V, 五0, from Sơn Lôi Co妹妹une, Bình Xuyên District, Vĩnh Phúc Province, was hospitalised on February 一 二, 二0 二0.
The patient was in direct contact with his daughter, N. T. D, one of eight Vietnamese people who tested positive for the virus after returning from Wuhan, China, on January 三0, 二0 二0.
Previously, the patient tested negative for COVID- 一 九 and was isolated for four days. By February 一 一, the patient started showing symptoms of a cough and runny nose, but no fever. On February 一 二, samples tested positive for the virus and he began undergoing treatment at Quang Hà Medical Clinic.
After 一 五 days of treatment, the patient’s symptoms cleared, and he has been declared as stable. The patient first tested negative on Sunday, second on Monday and for the third time on Tuesday.
With this latest release, all 一 六 COVID- 一 九 cases have been cured by Vietnamese doctors. Notably, no new cases have been reported during the last 一 三 days across the country.
As of 八. 三0am on Wednesday, there were 八0, 五 九 六 confirmed COVID- 一 九 cases around the world, including 七 七, 六 六 五 in mainland China and 二, 九 三 一 in 四0 other countries and territories.
The number of fatalities stood at 二, 七 一0, including 二, 六 六 三 in mainland China, according to the health ministry’s public health emergency operations centre. — VNS
